Welcome to the Walkers Corner. The goal for this page is to help you to understand the benefits of walking in an atmosphere that is encouraging and non-intimidating. Our walking program is made up of experienced and inexperienced walkers that all have one thing in common, to reach a goal with walking and have fun while doing it.
For those who want to walk a marathon, they can seek the assistance of the Salt Lake City FIT team to tailor a program that will meet your needs. The St. George Marathon does take walkers, however, there is a 6-hour time limit, and then support will be pulled from the course. You can still continue walking, and our Salt Lake City FIT members will even stay to make sure that you finish and have a crowd at the end.
Season Seminars
We have included seminars that are "walker friendly." By this we mean we will have seminars that pertain to both walkers and runners that will both educate and inspire you to achieve your walking goals and/or help you to set goals in your walking efforts.
Discussion Forum
One of the best ways to stay in touch with your fellow members and to know daily what is going on within our group, is to get plugged in to our Discussion forum. We will utilize this forum to inform members on any changes due to inclement weather or any other related changes. Getting involved in this forum is strongly suggested. Feel free to take a peek at what's going on and even more so feel free to get on it and participate. Walker's have their own discussion forum - the orange group.
